These lead sheets are 99.99% pure and can shield X-ray radiation from the usage area. The lead sheets used must comply with the standards mandated by the Department of Medical Sciences and have certification from the Department.

1. Uses / Applications

  1. Installing inside X-ray room doors / CATH LAB rooms / hybrid operating rooms
  2. For cladding in walls of X-ray rooms / CATH LAB / hybrid ORs

2. Design / Operation Guidance

  1. For wall cladding of X-ray shielding lead sheets: minimum height from floor to 2.2 m. All four wall surfaces can be clad.

Technical Specifications (Product Details)

  1. Manufacturing process: lead sheets for X-ray shielding are produced to a standardized quality. They are tested by SSDL (Secondary Standard Dosimetry Laboratory) / Department of Medical Sciences, Ministry of Public Health, with certification that the lead is 99.99% pure.
  2. Radiation protection values (Lead Equivalent):
    • 1.0 mm at 100 kV → 99.39% attenuation; test report shows 1.01 mm Pb equivalence
    • 1.5 mm at 150 kV → 99.91% attenuation; equivalence 1.5 mm Pb (report 0462012202-1)
    • 2.0 mm at 150 kV → 99.93% attenuation; equivalence 2.07 mm Pb (report 463167380)
    • 2.5 mm at 150 kV → 99.98% attenuation; equivalence 2.66 mm Pb (report 463346807)
    • 3.0 mm at 150 kV → 99.99% attenuation; equivalence 3.0 mm Pb (report 4570003851)

3. Choosing Appropriate Shielding Based on X-Ray Energy (kVp)

  • Low energy (1.0 – 1.5 mm): dental, mammogram, bone densitometry
  • Medium (≈1.5 mm): general X-ray / bone imaging
  • High (2-3 mm): CT scan rooms
